Acer palmatum Bloodgood

One of the most popular red and upright-growing Japanese maples. It is the3standard by which all newer cultivars like it are judged. The leaves are deep red and hold their colour well into late summer. The fall color will usually be a bright crimson.

Bloodgood will do great in a sunny position. If it is placed a shaded spot, the leaves won’t turn as red as they normally would and may be a mix of red with a dark green color.

Bloodgood is a strong-growing cultivar reaching up to 4m when it matures. A must have for any maple enthusiast.
