Koto-No-Ito is Japanese for “harp strings” and describes this maple well. Koto-No-Ito stands out with its elegant fine leaves, but it is slightly broader than other cultivars of the linearilobum group.
New leaves will have crimson tones but soon turn green. In the fall, the leaves will get shades of yellow, orange and red. Koto-no-ito usually makes a dense tall shrub of 2.5m.
